Domain legal records

The domain owner is considered to be a natural or legal person who is indicated in the records of the domain owner and the domain administrator. When registering a domain, these fields are automatically filled in with the data that the registrant enters during the registration process, although during the registration process, he is given the opportunity to enter other data into these records. For example, when someone buys a domain on behalf of someone else, it is correct to enter the data of the owner and the administrator in the records of the person who is initially considered the owner. This can be changed technically in the future, but many people do not know about these details, and then they find themselves at risk of losing the domain. Let us clarify once again, the following data is available regarding the domain:

  1. Account data on the registrar's website FindDomai.ge: With these data, an account is opened on the website and through them the account is logged in: email, password. In particular, this data provides access to all uses of the domain, as well as access to making changes to the fields listed below;
  2. Domain owner data: Records about the domain owner. This data determines who owns the domain;
  3. Domain administrative person data: Records about the domain administrative person (equal in rights to the status of the owner);
  4. Domain technical person data: Records about the domain technical person (has the right only to make technical changes);
    The 2nd, 3rd and 4th records are the domain itself when entering its page and can only be changed from here. See the example in the picture for the domain finddomain.ge:

When transferring a domain from one registrar's site to another's site or even from one account on one site to another's account

All this data is considered confidential and is not visible to the public. As a domain registrar company, we will not provide this information to a third party. However, in the case of the .GE domain on our site, it is technically possible to enable this from the account with a special switch (the account owner can do this himself) and everyone will see who the domain owner is. Such data is visible when someone checks whether the domain is free or not, in which case the domain will appear occupied and it will also be visible to whom it belongs.

We will also add that the domain owner does not explicitly mean the ownership of the site that is located on the domain, although in many cases the owner of all products related to the domain is the same, because this is most often the case. A site (web page) is simply a program, separately prepared by site developers (programmers), which is tied to a specific domain through domain technical records (DNS) and, if desired, can be changed and a completely different site will appear on this domain. The site program is located on a server and is a separate product. Some people clearly think that by purchasing a domain, they will automatically purchase a website, which is a mistake. The purchase process should clearly specify the purchase of a website as well.
